Birthday Camping & Climbing 2018 / by Jeremy Allen

We faced some challenges to get all 20 people over river by zip line.. Taking much more time than anticipated we only arrived at the rock wall for 9 pm. That didn't stop us from doing our thing! We all quickly setup camp & made a fire while others got the top ropes fastened to the anchors. We danced, partied and climbed until 2:30 am that night. I don't think I've ever done such an amazing thing for my birthday.

Living on the West Coast really seems to bring out "The Best Birthday Ever" every year. It's been three years in a row now that I decided to spend the night camping under the stars. I wake up in nature, stoked as can be and simply relax, climb, read and lounge in the hammock for hours on end. I don't think it gets much better than that.

Being able to do what I love has been a true blessing. It's an amazing feeling always being able to work on something - with this full time hobby I've created I'm able to work when I want, where I want and however much I want to. It's great to know that there are people out there who support me and the others who are doing the exact same thing.

In this day and age there's such a race or rush for the cheese. As a photographer living in the Sea-to-Sky corridor I know there are thousands just like me working their butt off to make this living possible. I don't see others as enemies, I see people that I'm willing to work with. I love seeing others be successful in their own doings. I always ask questions to other photographers, always learning new things about cameras, photography, video and in general - media. It's great to be in a sweet community of others humans doing rad things.

Stoked to have turned 23 the other day, going to continue posting on here and making sure everyone is in the loop.
